THe Christmas Store

Guests coming to Journey of Faith’s Daytime Warming Center will be able to participate in several activities (abstract art workshop, foot massages, homeopathic remedies, baking and decorating cookies). But, one particular activity has quickly become a favorite The Christmas Store. Guests get a chance to pick out items to wrap and give as presents to their loved ones.  It's our hope to have everyone share in the Christmas spirit even those who really don't have anything tangible to give.

Some gifts have been purchased or donated already for children – but, we need more donations of gifts for adults. You can find a list of suggested items here to buy or donate. Your donation of a gift, under $10, will be most appreciated — whatever it is. If you would like to donate a gift above our $10 limit because you feel it’s a little bit more personal or special to give – you are welcome to do so.

With your help, our homeless brothers and sisters coming to the Daytime Warming Center in December will be able to be part of the gift-giving process too.  We'll have gift wrapping supplies for people to decorate their gifts.  We’ll also have cookies to bake so that our guests can take with them on their last day at the Daytime Warming Center.

What we need is your help to wrap gifts, bake cookies, to visit and just be in the company of folks; maybe even singing Christmas songs.  The Christmas Store will be open for our homeless brothers and sisters at the Daytime Warming Center to "shop and wrap" on Friday, December 14th between 10:00am-2:00pm.
