As winter draws near, shelters and warming stations open up around Ann Arbor. Led by the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County, the city, the county area churches and community — the Daytime Warming Center provides shelter for homeless people in Washtenaw County.
Journey of Faith is hosting the Daytime Warming Center December 3-14 (8:30AM-4:30PM). We offer a space for shelter and rest, relaxation and healing, and, of course, lots of nutritious, high quality food. It’s a place where people care enough to keep you warm and love you enough to listen to your story. You can sign-up to help by providing a meal, snacks, or conducting an activity.
We welcome volunteers who are passionate about helping to restore hope to the homeless in Washtenaw County. By dedicating your time, energy, and skills, you can change the lives of our neighbors. If you feel a call to help and want to raise awareness about homelessness and poverty, then contact the church office at: firstname.lastname@example.org or 734.971.4245, The Daytime Warming Center might be the right place for you.
