do good

Handing out hygiene kits to the homeless in Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti …

Giving bus passes to a homeless person to get around town …

Making sleeping mats for people living outside …

Providing school backpacks and supplies to 150 low-income families for some relief from back-to-school spending ...

Offering a place for the homeless to wash their dirty clothes and shower …

Small things on the surface may not mean a lot, but when you’re doing without the small things it can be a big thing to deal with. We try to provide those small things so people have one less thing to worry about.

As one teenager in the church, quoting her favorite role model, remarked:  "If you ever think you’re too small to make a difference or don't have enough of the right stuff to be effective, try sleeping with a mosquito!"  (Dalai Lama XIV)

We invite you to take a look at the small ways you can do good at Journey of Faith by serving:

"Jesus came to serve, not to be served ..." — Matthew 20:28
