Whenever we face difficult times, it's helpful to have others who can help us navigate the storms and hear the voice of God.
We have caring, amazing people here at Journey of Faith who would love to help. They believe it's important to be available and reach out to others to offer their prayers and face-to-face ministry.
Our pastor and volunteers (our eldership group which helps to support pastoral care and provide spiritual direction and guidance) are willing to walk alongside you as you deal with overwhelming circumstances such as:
We believe in the power of prayer and have a small group of "prayer warriors" who are willing to help those who are hurting find restoration and hope in Christ. They will pray specifically for a request.
If you are going through a difficult time and would like to be contacted about your situation, please contact the church office and a member of our team will contact you.
Jesus said that people would know we belong to him by the way we care for one another.
We think Jesus spent most of his time praising God and serving others.
He makes it pretty clear that his followers were to go out and serve.
Because mission is the work of the whole church – wherever and whenever God's work is needed.
All kinds of people "doing good" together to change the world.
What a sweet thing that would be.
There are several ways you can "do good":
Jesus said, “I came to serve, not to be served."
And, as any teenager will tell you — "that's just the way Jesus rolls."
So, if you're ready to "roll" like Jesus, jump in and "do good."
We've started a new program, "Faith Basics" for youth (11-18 years) and young adults.
Throughout the year, a group of young adults will journey together toward the possibility of baptism and full membership in the church.
With Pastor Alex, they will explore what it means to be a Disciple, that is, what it means for each of them to follow Christ.
If you are interested in the new program on behalf of yourself or as a mentor, please contact Pastor Alex McCauslin at the church office.
She hopes to hear from you soon!
We love the space where faith and kids intersect.
We have a passion for helping kids learn about Jesus in ways they understand.
Our faith ministry isn't going to be the best place for entertainment a kid has in a week. And, our volunteers aren't going to be the coolest people they know.
But, it's a good place to come to where kids can discover how much they are loved by God and why it's important to care about others.
We're not about the craziest games we played this month.
We're about doing amazing and meaningful things like serving one another and our "neighbors."
We're about sharing our stories of lives changed by God's love and grace.
We begin each Sunday lesson with God’s story from the Bible; our own personal stories; and our story together as followers of Christ.
We try to nurture creativity in our young people. We hope those moments of divergence are places of grace, learning, and affirmation in the church and our homes.
Our volunteers try to make sure that every child knows they matter and so does everyone else in the congregation because knowing God matters – and that can make all the difference in the world.
Fun or meaningful? We hope you'll choose both.

*(Just for the fun of it, watch our kids re-tell Bible stories in the Kids Zone, in their own words. We crack up laughing every time we see those short films.)
We invite you and your kids to join us!
Each of us holds a piece of a larger story about God, the Church, and the community that is and becomes Christ in the world.
You never know when your storytelling will inspire, impact or help. You never know when someone will make your story, their story.

This isn't quite what we mean.
Our youth say "yes" in response to Jesus' call.
"To be his hands, feet and eyes in the world."
A call to be lived out in the daily living of our lives.
The "Youth Empowered to Serve" (Y.E.S.) group of 13-18 year-olds works to fight homelessness amoung families and children.
They also feel pretty strongly about meeting the needs of LGBTQ teens.
A generation working to change the world by leading people into a greater life of generosity, love, and service in Jesus’ name.
Shouldn't all revolutions start this way?
Take a look at what our young people are doing to "be the good" in the world when they ...
